Accessibilty Considerations and Customizations

COMMONS
Primary common areas will be accessible for residents and guests with disabilities (comply with ADA).
This includes the common house (basement and first floor (2nd floor will not) and common house plaza. Does not include pool access for persons in wheelchairs. An all terrain wheel chair will be needed for general access to the garden down the gravel path and accross the event green. The natural trails in the woodland are not wheel chair accessible.

RESIDENTIAL UNITS
All units can be customized for partial access (visitability) or full resident access. If that upgrade is not requested some will be easier to adapt to disabled access in the future and some will be difficult to adapt to disabled access in the future.

All units can be customized for aging in place and through that process, we can provide the following:

  • A. partial access (access to first floor suite and/or to main floor for disabled visitors/no elevator)
    - Porch Lift (if no at grade access) and bathroom for disabled visitors
  • B. full access
  • B1: access to all floors with elevator with 2ft8 or 3ft doors to all rooms and disability access to all bathrooms
  • B2: all access provided in B1 + disability access to kitchen (full
    disability access unit)
