Community
Nurturing Inclusion, Community, Environmental Stewardship
Programs in place to encourage a diverse community lifestyle: a community social network and a connection to nature. A village that is pedestrian friendly, reducing dependence on cars.
Provide for an intergenerational community in which residents and close by neighbors have opportunities to share time together and participate in a variety of activities in the common areas. These activities include crafts, gardening, culinary activities, clubs and nature based and recreational activities. The common house will serve as a place for residents to come together as an “extended living room” for farm to table events, group meals, home theatre and maker space.
The Common House
The Common House will have a Kitchen and Dining Area for shared meals, cooking classes, wine tastings, canning/pickling, family farm days, and holiday events.
The lower level will house a Maker’s Space with a wood shop and craft area.
The upper level will have bedrooms that can be reserved by the homeowners for overflow guest housing.
There will be a Common Green alongside the Community Lap Pool and Community Gardens.
