Say hello to farm-fresh fellowship with Pendergrast Farm’s new Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. The program is spearheaded by our full-time Farm Manager Vincent McKoy, a veteran of urban farming practices. From savory vegetables to mouth-watering fruits, community members can indulge in produce grown just a short walk from home, while promoting sustainable agriculture to local neighbors.
McKoy plans to launch the CSA program this spring, providing subscribers with fresh-picked, weekly boxes that feature vegetables, fruits, herbs and other farm products from the Pendergrast Farm garden and working farm.
“Community Supported Agriculture is a wonderful way for people to directly connect with their food, the farmer and the land,” said McKoy. “This program not only delivers fresh, chemical-free produce straight from our farm to your table but also strengthens the bonds within our community and local neighborhood.”
When McKoy took over as Farm Manager at Pendergrast Farm, he brought with him a wealth of experience in urban agriculture and sustainable farming practices. He is a master at combining traditional methods with modern, eco-friendly ideas. Beyond the farm, McKoy advocates for food justice and enjoys pouring inspiration into future environmentalists through educational initiatives and community engagement.
